CES 2009: Intel Touch-screen Display

At Intel’s booth, they have this pretty cool, Minority Report style touch-screen display. It’s using a real-time 3D engine driving a giant transparent touch-screen. It uses laser-etched holograms, which is pretty cool. They are using the display to showcase Intel’s latest processors: the Intel Core i7, Intel Centrino 2, and the Intel Atom.

Google Tech Talk October 21, 2009 ABSTRACT Presented by Michael Tamm, optivo GmbH at the 4th Annual Google Test Automation Conference, October 21st, 22nd, 2009, Zurich, CH So you have unit tests, integration tests, and maybe even frontend tests, and you know that your web application does what it is supposed to do. But what about layout bugs? How do you ensure, that every page looks like the designers wanted it to look like? I will present several proven and some novel techniques to help you automatically check the work of your HTML and CSS programmers. I will show examples of typical layout bugs and explain which techniques can be applied to automatically detect/prevent those types of bugs in the future without human intervention. Bio: Michael Tamm currently works as System Architect at optivo. He finished his studies of computer science in 1999 and is developing enterprise web applications since then. Through the years he has specialized on quality assurance via automatic testing. Besides being a regular speaker at different computer conferences and author of several computer journal articles, he is also an active committer on the WebDriver project.

inside North Korea 2009 by Chinese media 5/7 Eng Sub

A documentary made by Phoenix TV on North Korea. The film crew is actually allowed in the DPRK, and given quite a bit of access. It is a follow up a similar documentary made in 2007, I will upload more if there is enough interest. This documentary is made by Phoenix Television. The subtitles are translated and timed by me, if you own this content and does not wish it to be on youtube. Just PM me, and I’ll remove it. However, as so few film crew in the English media can go to North Korea. Please make such content more widely available and accessible. PS After after reading all the comments, I realized this video is as much as about NK as whether or not youtubers could comprehend the meaning of irony.

Macy’s Christmas Windows 2009
