Lewis Hamilton, Formula One world champion displays his driving skills at Diageo Shieldhall Glasgow
Feb 7th, 2010 by admin
Hundreds of workers at the Diageo Scotch Whisky plant in Glasgow have had a special treat this morning, thanks to Formula One’s world champion. Lewis Hamilton gave them a thrilling demonstration of his title-winning mclaren-Mercedes car – the first time it has appeared in Scotland- outside the Shieldhall factory. He says he was delighted to put on the show and thank the staff for their support. He said: “I’m very excited to be here and I’ve been working with Johnnie Walker now for a couple of years but it’s the first time I’ve been up here in Glasgow at Shieldhall, and I get to do a bit of a demonstration. I was driving the car yesterday, the actual 2009 car, but to do the doughnuts, you don’t actually get to do that on a real racetrack.” The Johnnie Walker brand is one of the sponsors of the Vodafone mclaren-Mercedes team, to promotes a responsible drinking message. After the fun of today, the hard work of developing the new car begins for Lewis ahead of the Australian Grand Prix in March.
Just a few weeks ago max mosley said that McLaren used Ferrari’s data in their 2008 car as well and nothing was done because FIA was safeguarding british jobs.
The whole thing is a shame. 2008 should be cancelled.

lucky people!unlucky people! I know it’s all sponsorship deals and business, but fantastic show for Diageo workers. Pity 900 of their colleagues are getting laid off in Killie and Port Dundas. . As for Tufz, they were gauranteed it would be pissing down so just ideal for donuts!
Piquet’s famous father and namesake is quoted by the Spanish newspaper Diario Sport as suggesting the Spanish racer “knew everything” about the deliberate crash in Singapore last year.
how come he done this in scotland and not england?!
well its very easy for an f1 car to snap doing donuts so it takes skill to keep it spinning close to the walls, its probably not a big deal for these guys as they are used to it but it still requires skills as you cant get into that car and do that.
Tell me why?
Cool! The car looks kind of funny with those narrow rain tires LOL.
Great !!!
Fuck Diageo
I love how he made the car dance around that orange pole @ 3:40

no skill? id like to see you set off in an F1 car without stalling it, never-mind the clutch control for a donut.
