Darby Police….Shutting down someone from videotaping…

As crime escalates in Darby Borough Pennsylvania, where 3 shootings (that we know of) occurred on one street, where the Drug Dealer is the major employer in this tiny town 8/10ths of a square mile wide…Darby Police, under order of Mayor Helen Thomas and Chief Robert Smythe, stop a former resident from videotaping on the corner of 9th & Summit Street. Mykal Coles, a former resident who now lives in Virginia, came back home to shoot parts of a scene in his video…on the streets where he grew up and his family still resides…However, Mayor Helen Thomas and the Darby Police had something different in mind…Mayor Helen Thomas and the Borough charged him a Permit Fee and then did not issue the permit….she then flip-flopped and said she had no control over the matter…the Council and Chief “took that power away from her”…But the truth of the matter is, Mykal had EVERY right to use his video camera on the streets of Darby….because…there IS NO ORDINANCE THAT SAYS HE CAN’T VIDEO…The only Ordinance that comes close is #119 – Shows and Exhibitions. This Ordinance says if someone is going to perform and have a show, where they charge admission, then a license must be taken out….There was NO admission fee charged yesterday and the video would have taken about 20 minutes…Furthermore, if this is true, then every news camera or person filming videos, including me, Paula Brown, would have to take out a permit to video tape on the streets of Darby…this is …

because its more than likely that the shooting would be one where the cop is criminally liable for it and not the other way around.
You just can’t trust cops. There are enough bad ones out there that normal citizens are even in danger.
so why wont they let them film? if a shooting goes down, at least there’d be solid evidence. . . sucks how much cops abuse their power, and how they have the upper hand on the the civil liberties battles, at least for the here and now. they can screw you today, and you wont have justice until months later at your court date.

Darby cops are more criminal then any criminal, living or passing through that town. They are the LAPD of delaware county. Not to mention 90% of the case’s in that area are trump charges. .
