Branding for Entrepreneurs, costly errors or the Way to Go?

Many places to teach advertising and try to sell your advertising, promoting a form of advertising called branding. But I think it’s too expensive to advertise only for this purpose and it is better to let the brand as a side benefit of your marketing, but as the primary purpose of marketing
